Από τη θέση που κατέλαβε στην ίδια εμφανίστηκε η συμμετοχή της Πορτογαλίας το 2006 στον ημιτελικό όπου κατάφερε να κερδίσει 26 βαθμούς, οι χώρες που ψήφισαν Πορτογαλία ήταν τρεις, 12 βαθμούς πήρε από την Ανδόρα και επτά βαθμούς από Γαλλία και Ελβετία.
