Το βράδυ του διαγωνισμού η συμμετοχή της Ιταλίας διαγωνίσθηκε από την 13η θέση και κατέλαβε την έβδομη με 69 βαθμούς, οι χώρες που την ψήφισαν ήταν: 12 από Ιρλανδία και δέκα βαθμοί από Ελλάδα, Γαλλία και Πορτογαλία, Ελβετία με 8 βαθμοί, Γιουγκοσλαβία και Φινλανδία από έξι βαθμοί, τρεις βαθμοί από τη Νορβηγία, δυο από το Ισραήλ και από ένα βαθμό το Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο και η Αυστρία.
