Timeless: Σουηδία 1965

Στον δέκατο διαγωνισμό τραγουδιού της Eurovision που φιλοξενήθηκε στη Νάπολη, η Σουηδία συμμετείχε με ένα τραγούδι που τελικά ερμηνεύτηκε στα αγγλικά και όχι στα σουηδικά όπως αρχικά είχε επιλεχθεί από τον εθνικό τελικό της χώρας. Αυτός ήταν και ο λόγος που η EBU θέσπισε τον κανόνα οι χώρες που συμμετέχουν να χρησιμοποιούν μια από τις επίσημες γλώσσες της χώρας. Τη Σουηδία εκπροσώπησε ο Ingvar Wixell με το τραγούδι "Absent Friend" σε μουσική του Dag Wirén, στίχους του Alf Henriksson και με διευθυντή ορχήστρας τον William Lind.

Η συμμετοχή της Σουηδίας διαγωνίσθηκε από την δέκατη θέση και τερμάτισε στη δέκατη με έξι βαθμούς.
